We have produced books catering to a variety of publishing segments:
  • Trade titles
  • Professional titles, including medicine, law, finance, accountancy, and marketing
  • Academic and scholarly monographs
  • Educational titles: schools, K-12, and higher education
  • English language teaching
  • Reference titles
We also have a dedicated journals and reference works team.
Project Management
Full-service project management by Newgen frees up clients' resources, allowing them to focus on adding value. Currently we provide publishers including Palgrave Macmillan, Taylor & Francis, and CRC Press with project management from typescript through to print-ready PDFs.
Typesetting Services
Newgen has been providing typesetting services since 1996. Having worked with a range of prestigious academic and scholarly publishers over the years, Newgen brings to each project industry knowledge, experience, and best practices.

In the past year, Newgen has typeset approximately 1,400 books, of which some 560 were project managed and 750 copyedited by us. In addition, we typeset approximately 125 journal articles per week.
Copyediting
Newgen has been copyediting for publishers since 1997. We work on scholarly monographs, textbooks, professional titles, major reference works, and journals across humanities, social science, and science disciplines, and in both UK and US English.
Data Conversion
Regardless of the current state of your data, Newgen provides the necessary services to convert it to a platform-neutral, electronic format such as XML suitable for importing into a data repository. We can also integrate your legacy databases into a new solution or create a program to automatically retrieve, convert, and import legacy data into a new database.
Document Conversion
Newgen was quick to realize the emergence of the Web as a critical medium in the publishing domain and built a complete document conversion unit to explore opportunities in this area. The core workflow of this unit has always been in sharp contrast to the industry norm of converting from typeset pages to various formats.
Journals Typesetting
Newgen has a strong journals base in biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, engineering, health and life sciences, mathematics, neuroscience, and physics. Among the services we offer for journals customers are copyediting, proofreading, typesetting, author liaison, Publish Ahead of Print (PAP) conversion, and SGML/XML delivery.
Reference Works
Newgen has a separate unit specializing in the production of multivolume reference works. We have completed 35 major reference works for various publishers, providing project management services for half of them. These projects require close tracking, communication with multiple authors spanning across months, copyright and permissions sourcing, etc., and all are short turnaround projects with highest quality expectations and dynamic content updates.
Services for Legal Publishers
Newgen's services for the legal publishing allow our clients to be assured of timely, foolproof updates to their content, whether for the print or the online version. We currently provide legal publishers with project management services and XML-first composition for loose leafs, bound practitioner volumes, academic monographs, reference works, and databases.
Artwork and Scanning
Newgen offers more than nine years' experience of high-end artwork and scanning. Our designers can show an impressive portfolio of digital illustrations, charts, conversions, graphs, maps, redraws, technical drawings, and chemical structures.
