| Production Planning, Execution, and Control
|
Project planning with regard to workflow, schedules, contact personnel, progress reports, and so on begins as soon as a project is received, and a project initiation meeting is held with all functional team leaders (editors, paginators, artwork, proofreaders, data conversion).
The outcome of this process includes all queries on design and on source file formatting, workflow preparation and confirmation, choice of typesetting platform, DTD queries, artwork specifications and colour application management, plans for index preparation, formats for progress reports, and communication to the client and authors of point of contact, e-mail id, and ftp details for future transactions.
After this stage, complete workflow automation is developed with centralized data management, minimizing the time taken for the electronic delivery.
Finally, all projects are reviewed at regular intervals, and any changes to workflow, processes, or systems are implemented within the team through training, documentation, and automation. |
